Once upon a time in Anatolia

MY STORY

I weave together a journalistic discipline rooted in Turkey with a cinematographic perspective shaped in Montreal, blending both with the timeless texture of analog photography. While my journey began in the digital realm, I eventually fell in love with the unpredictable yet enchanting soul of the analog world—specifically 135 (35mm) and medium format.

In the digital landscape, Shutterlag is often viewed as a technical flaw. In my world, however, it represents a deliberate pause—that final split second of thought in my mind before light kisses the film.

To me, a photograph is far more than a technical achievement; it is a record of a story felt in a fleeting moment, hidden between light, shadow, and grain. Whether I am walking the streets, framing a portrait, or losing myself in nature, my goal is not simply to capture a moment, but to filter its nostalgic essence through my viewfinder and carry it into the present.

The photo-stories featured on this site are a reflection of how I see the world. If you would like to support my work or join me in these stories, please feel free to reach out via the platforms below.
